JOYCE A. ROLWING, age 86, of Charleston, died Tuesday, June 29, 2021, at Southeast Health in Cape Girardeau.

She was born April 6, 1935, at Blodgett, MO, to the late Carl Chappell and Leona Watson Chappell.  Joyce was raised in Diehlstadt where she attended and graduated school.   She had lived most of her life in Charleston and was retired from Brown Shoe Company.   She was a devout member of St. Henry Catholic Church.

On May 25, 1957, she married Robert "Bob" Rolwing, who preceded her in death on December 11, 2019.

Joyce is survived by her sister, Shelby Welch of Charleston as well as a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her husband and her father and mother, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Bill Thompson.

Visitation will be from 9:15 a.m. until time for the funeral mass at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at the St. Henry Catholic Church in Charleston.  Father David Dohogne will serve celebrant.

Interment will follow in the Texas Bend Cemetery near Charleston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston.

Pallbearers will be; Carl Welch, Christopher Chapman, Ethan Welch, Marty Rogers, Larry Rolwing and Dennis Rolwing.
