Obituary
JOYCE MARY STEWART, Age 70, a resident of Charleston, died at 9:10 a.m., Thursday, July 23, 2009 at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born November 23, 1938 in Chicago, IL to the late John and Josephine Kadoshius; She lived in the Chicago area until moving to Charleston in 1972 where she was employed as a cook at the Sands Restaurant and then the Charleston Inn until her retirement in 2002. She was a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary.
She was first married to Myron Williams. On June 15, 1972, she married Delbert Stewart who preceded her in death on November 1, 1985.
Surviving is her "one and only" son, Michael "Mike" John Williams of Charleston; one brother, Gerald Kadoshius of Des Moines, IA; one sister in law, Dorothy Stewart of Charleston; three nieces, Imogene Ward, Margie Wheatley Barbara Dodge and one nephew, Eugene Dodge all of East Prairie; also several cousins.
Friends may call after 1:30 p.m., Saturday, July 25, 2009 at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston where funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Saturday. Rev. Steve Johnson of East Prairie, will officiate.
Following her cremation, there will be a private family graveside service at the Oak Grove Cemetery on a later date.
