JUANITA ANDERSON

Norma Juanita "Weedie" Anderson, Age 88, formerly of East Prairie, MO, died Tuesday, July 20, 2010, at the home of her sister and brother in law, Margie and Billy Bisher in Edmond, OK.

Born December 15, 1921, in Mississippi County, MO, to the late William Roy and Ella Furlong Douglas, she had lived in East Prairie most of her life where she was a member of the First Baptist Church. A 1940 graduate of East Prairie High School, she graduated from Southeast Missouri State University in 1959 and then taught elementary school in both Mississippi County rural schools and the East Prairie Schools for 38 years until retiring in 1981.

In August 1946, she married Clarence K. "Dick" Anderson, Jr. who preceded her in death on March 1, 1992.

Surviving is one sister and brother in law, Margie and Billy Bisher of Edmond, OK.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Verlon Leroy Douglas and Julian Eugene Douglas and by one sister, Georgia Areba Larson.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, July 22, 2010 at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston where funeral services will conducted at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 23, 2010. Bro. George White of East Prairie, will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston.

Pallbearers will be: Rick Bisher, Jimmy Douglas, Jerry Douglas, Patrick Douglas, Charles Lingle, Jr. and Harlan Douglas.
