Judith Kay Haney, age 78, of East Prairie, died Thursday, May 1, 2025, at the Aspire Senior Living Center at East Prairie, MO.
Born January 28, 1947, at Alton, IL, to the late Raymond Meredith and Retta Martin Meredith Rister, she was a 1965 graduate of East Prairie Schools and had lived in East Prairie most of her life. For many years she was employed with Courtesy Ford in Charleston and later for many years in the lunch room of East Prairie Schools until her retirement. She was of Southern Baptist belief.
On November 7, 1964, she married Donald Haney, who preceded her in death on November 14, 2013.
Surviving is her son and daughter in law, Darren and Susan Haney of East Prairie; her grandchildren, Alexis (Donavan) Miskelley, Bradley (Sarah) Haney and Ryder Haney; great grandchildren, Tucker, Ema, Raelyn, Aycen and Toby; a special niece, Sandy Reazin; a special nephew, Richard Haney; also, additional nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her husband, and father and mother, she was preceded in death by her brother, Stanley Meredith and her sister, Barbara Starbuck.
Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until the funeral hour at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Martin Lucas will officiate.
Interment will follow in the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston.
Pallbearers will be Richard Haney, Bill Haney, Cody Childers, Donavan Miskelley, Greg Childers and Glen Henry.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bradley Haney, Ryder Haney, Jeremy McClain, Bruce McClain, James Childers, Tommy Jones and Chris Miller.
