Judith Ann Newcomb Myres, 72, of Charleston, was born February 25, 1950, at Charleston, the second daughter of Seborn Franklin Newcomb and Kathryn Avanelle Humphreys Newcomb, and passed away peacefully Friday, January 13, 2023, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

A graduate of Charleston High School, Judie lived in Memphis a short time and then returned to Charleston where she lived the remainder of her life.

Judie is survived by her son, Jacob (Tammy) Myres, of Sikeston; her daughter, Brittanie (Darrell) Preston of Jackson; her grandchildren, John Myres, Angela Preston and James Preston; as well as her sister, Linda Hodges.

Private services will be held.

McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
