Judith (Judy) Dale Evans Still, beautiful and beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend passed away at her home in Bertrand, Missouri on April 1, 2024 at the age of 70.

She passed peacefully in her home with her children by her side as well as her loyal fur grandbaby Gizmo.

Judy was born in Springfield, Illinois on August 10th, 1953, a daughter of the late Mary Helen Evans Sutton and Dale Franklin Evans. After spending much of her life in Springfield she lived in various states: Indiana, Texas and Colorado. She eventually found her way back to Carbondale, Illinois where she attended Southern Illinois University. From Carbondale she found her forever home in Bertrand, Missouri. Judy's free-spirited personality guided her to work in various jobs: retail, caring for others in nursing facilities, and as a server and/or cook in several restaurants.

Judy was extremely passionate about helping others, especially her family and friends. She would give the coat off her back if she thought you needed it. She had a heart of gold. She was a talented cook. Her family and friends loved her cooking. She could make a gourmet dinner with whatever she had in the house. She was very creative and a survivor!

Judy loved the ocean and the mountains. She also loved flowers and plants, the sky, cats, dogs and birds. She fed lots of animals around her home if she felt they needed it. She would even let the neighbor's cat come in if the owner was not home and it was cold out.

She is survived by her sisters Donna Peterson (Brian) of Texas, Jeannie Edwards (Craig) of Illinois, and Karen Schindler (Mark) of California, son Eric Watkins (Danielle) of Bertrand Mo., daughter Amy Martin of Bertrand Mo., nine grandchildren: Noah, Jaden, Isaiah, Skyler, Brayden (Porsha), Megan, Aaron, Steven and Tommy, six great grandchildren: Remington, River, Nile, Wesson, Winston Zayn and Evelynn.

Per her request no services are being held. A Celebration of life will be held at a later date.

McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
