Obituary

JUDITH ANN NORTHCUTT, age 80, of Sikeston, died Wednesday, December 2, 2020, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Judy, the daughter of Lacy Burl Taber and Eva Marie Lancaster Taber, was born June 27, 1940, at Matthews, MO. On May 17, 1960, at Canalou, she married Gilbert Ray Northcutt, who preceded her in death April, 29, 2019.   Judy was co-owner of Ruth and Judy's Draperies with her sister, Ruth Etta Burch.

Judy will be greatly missed by her children, Kerry Northcutt, Lorraine (Bart) Stallings and Leslie (David) Freeman and her grandchildren, Jade Freeman, Chelsea Stallings Holley, Carly Stallings and Dillon Northcutt; Judy is also survived by her three sisters, Shirley Coppage, Marlene Hartlein and Deanna Piel and one brother, Merlin Taber.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Glenn, Lindell, Melvin and Dwight Taber and her sisters, Ruth Etta Burch and Flossie Taber.

She was an active member of Murray Lane Baptist Church for over 50 years.

A funeral service for family and church friends will be held at McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston at 2:45 p.m., Friday, December 4, 2020. Joe McCullough, pastor of the Murray Lane Baptist Church, will officiate.

Interment will follow at the Matthews Cemetery under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home at Sikeston.

Pallbearers will be: Daniel Beck, Nathan Beck, Nick Beck, Phillip Burch, John Burch and David Holley. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenny Burch, Lynn Lewis and Robert Lewis.

Memorials may be made to Murray Lane Baptist Church, 807 West Murray Lane, Sikeston, MO 63801.
