Judy Rolwing
Porter
November 6, 1949 – July 18, 2022
Judith Ellen Rolwing Porter died July 18, 2022, in Oklahoma City after a courageous
battle with lung cancer.
Judy was born November 6, 1949, in Charleston MO to Norbert
and Carmelita (Little) Rolwing. After graduating from St. Henry High School, she
attended Memphis State University, studying pre-law, worked in legal offices and
studied at Prince School of Court Reporting in Memphis TN, graduating in record time.
Her court reporting career included freelance and courtroom work in Tennessee, Texas,
Missouri, Wyoming, Florida, and Oklahoma. Judy was always striving to get better and
faster in her work, earning the respect of both lawyers and judges with whom she
worked and earned the Registered Professional Reporter (RPR) certificate in 2002.
She was a board member of the Oklahoma Court Reporters' Association and retired in
2017 from the Cleveland County Court in Norman OK.
Judy was an avid gardener. She loved to experiment with vegetables unusual for the
area. Her garden included heirloom and exotic varieties, a berry house and even a
chicken yard.
