JULIA RUTH HENSON BECK, age 80, a former resident of Bell City, died Thursday, April 16, 2020 at her residence in Marco Island, Florida.

Julia was born August 19,1939 in Cape Girardeau to Cleatus and Wilma Swank Henson. She was a graduate of Bell City High School and had attended Southeast MO State University. She and her husband lived in several locations through the years; Blytheville, AR, Shreveport, LA, Oklahoma City, OK, Houston, TX, Germantown, TN, Collierville, TN and Marco Island, FL Upon purchasing home in Marco Island they split the year living in Florida and Tennessee. She enjoyed fishing with her husband and walking along the beach.

On December 21, 1958 she married Abner Mansfield Beck who preceded her in death on March 5, 2012.

Surviving are one son and daughter in law, Steven and Tracey Beck of College Station, TX; two granddaughters, Elise (Matt) Martinez of Conroe, TX and Laura (Michael) Venesky of Midland, TX; two great grandchildren, Natalie and Andrew Martinez of Conroe, TX; one brother, Brady (Sandy) Henson of Olathe, KS; one niece, Ruthann Powers Maxwell of East Prairie, and her daughters, Leanne Maxwell Grant of Sikeston and Kelly Maxwell Akin of Senatobia, MS.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.

Private Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, April 25, 2020, at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery near Charleston.
