Obituary
KAREN BARBER BYRUM, Age 48, died Monday, July 20, 2009 at her home in Charleston.
She was born May 19, 1961 in Blytheville, AR to the late Larry F. Byrum and Bertie Marie Barber Byrum Staples. She had lived in Cape Girardeau a number of years and returned to Charleston in 2005 to care for her mother. A graduate of the Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, she was the owner and operater of the Wash Tyme Laundry Service in Charleston and had attended the First Baptist Church in Charleston.
She is survived by: one niece, Audra C. Tubbs of Charleston and two great nephews, John Dalton Stallings and Connor Lynn Tubbs.
One sister, Katherine Belinda Byrum Cates, preceded her in death.
Family and Friends will gather for graveside services at 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 27, 2009 at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Charleston. Kerry Stokes will offciate.
Arrangements are under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home.
