Karen Frances Murphy, 67, a life long resident of this area, died Friday Sept. 2, 2016 at Heritage Gardens Care Center in Sikeston. She was born February 27, 1949 in Morley to the late Norman F. and Angeline Frances (Woodward) Murphy. She is survived by an aunt,, Anna L. Jacobs of Cape Girardeau and cousins, Donald E. Jacobs, Jr. of Jackson, Sharon Williams of Cape Girardeau and Kathy Spain of Bradenton, Florida, and other cousins as well. Visitation will be at Blanchard Funeral Chapel from 11:00 am until time for services at 1:00 pm Wednesday, Sept.. 7, 2016. Rev. Bryan Schaefer, pastor of Maple Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau will officiate and burial will follow at Old Morley Cemetery.
