IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Karen Kay
Odum Pullen
October 4, 1961 – May 1, 2025
Karen Kay Pullen, age 63, of Benton, MO, died Thursday, May 1, 2025, at the Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis, MO.
She was born October 4, 1961, in Advance, MO to the late J.R. And Jean Odum and was a 1980 graduate of Sikeston High School. She attended Diehlstadt General Baptist Church.
On February 6, 1977, she married Steve Holman Sr., who preceded her in death on September 6, 1984.
On July 4, 1986, she married Douglas Pullen Sr. who survives of the home.
Karen was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off her back without hesitation. Always ready to help, she carried a warmth and generosity that touches everyone she met.
Anyone who knew Karen knew how easy she was to love. She had a way of making
people feel like family-always saying "I love you" and insisting on a hug goodbye (and if you forgot, she'd make sure you didn't forget next time!). One of her favorite things to say was, "I love you the most 'cause I'm the biggest," a phrase that perfectly captured her big heart and playful spirit. Karen's love wasn't reserved only for family- she became a second mother or "Nana" to so many others whose lives she brightened. She was as sweet as they come, but also a firecracker when she needed to be. Her fierce love, humor, and presence will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Other survivors include 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Denitra Holman Jr. of New Hamburg, Dustin and Becky Holman of Sikeston, and Douglas and Hailey Pullen Jr. of Diehlstadt. One daughter, Stacey Dawn Earnheart of Benton. 5 sisters and 3 brothers-in-law, Tammy Payne (Kelvin) of Morley, Jerrie Boner of Oran, Cathy Herbert (Johnny) of Thayer, Marti Swift (Mark) of Cape Coral, FL and Janeen Britt of Bloomfield.
