Karl Steven Hacker, age 70, died on the evening of Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at his home in rural Charleston, MO.
Karl was born on March 5, 1952, in Cairo, IL, to Lovie Hacker and the late Karl R. "Junior" Hacker. He graduated in 1970 from Ballard Memorial High School. He farmed all his life in Mississippi County. He was an avid hunter and had a love for fishing.
On March 9, 1979, he married Malinda Cochran, who survives of the home.
Also surviving are his son Tracy Hacker of Sikeston; his grandson Brayden Laminack of Sikeston; his daughter Brandy (Garrett) Miller of Charleston; his granddaughter Jazmyne Miller of Charleston; his stepson Scott (Sara) Gresham of Brenham, TX; his step-granddaughter Kerri Gresham of Iota, LA; his 2 step-great grandchildren Holden and Ruby of Iota, LA; his brother Jack Hacker of Wickliffe, KY; his niece Sarah Hacker of KY; his nephew Jack Hacker of Arlington, KY; his special grandson Daniel Russell of Charleston; and his special granddaughter Breanna Smith of Sikeston.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents Karl E. and Ethal Hacker and Marvin and Mamie Payne; his grandson Karl E. Miller; his step-granddaughter Skylar Gresham; and his nephew Jeremy Hacker.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be sent to the funeral home.
The family will receive friends from 1230 p.m. until time for the memorial service at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, September 1, 2022, at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.
