Katherine Marie Brewer Donaldson Denning, age 88, formerly a resident of Charleston, died Saturday, January 26, 2019 at the Jackson Manor Nursing Facility in Jackson, MO.

Born August 25, 1930, at Charleston, MO, to the late Harry T. Brewer and Erma M. Cagle Brewer. She was a member of Murray Lane Baptist Church in Sikeston, MO and a former President of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Charleston. Katherine worked many years as a baker for the Charleston School District.

On November 23, 1946, she married Charles Overton Donaldson, who preceded her in death after 41 years together. On November 12, 1988, she married Bobby Glen Denning of Sikeston, MO, who preceded her in death on November 15, 2012.

Katherine loved to fish, camp, crotchet and bowl in her earlier days. And was a St. Louis Cardinals fan for many years.

Katherine is survived by one son, Charles "Jake" (Linda) Donaldson of Charleston, one daughter, Jonna "Joni" Donaldson (Robert) Berry of Jackson, MO, one granddaughter, Shelley Donaldson Cissell of Charleston, MO, two grandsons, Charles "Cully" Donaldson (Brie Baker) of Charleston, Brad (Kristi) Berry of Jackson, MO, four great grandsons, Jacob Cissell of East Prairie, MO, Charles "Blake" Donaldson of Charleston and Bennett & Bryson Berry of Jackson, MO. Three great granddaughters, Carol Beth & Shelby Donaldson of Charleston & Megan Cissell of Scott City, MO. One great great grandson, Bentley Cissell of East Prairie, MO. And several nieces and nephews.

Katherine was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, sisters, Dorothy Ellen Ledbetter, Betty Sue True Forrest and one infant sister, Erma Jean Brewer.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 28, 2019 in the McMikle Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 10:30 a.m. Margaret Ann Mhoon of Sikeston will officiate.

Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery near Charleston under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home.
