Kathy Shirl Haley Henry, age 62, died Friday, April 28, 2023, at her home near Charleston.

Born September 8, 1960, in Mississippi County, MO, to the late James Franklin Haley, Sr. and Mary Kathern Guthrie Haley, she was a 1979 graduate of East Prairie High School and had lived in Mississippi County her entire life. For several years she was employed at the Brown Shoe Company.

On June 12, 2008, she married George Ulys "Mickey" Henry, who preceded her in death November 11, 2009.

Surviving is her son, William Thomas Junior Johnson, II; her daughters, Cassie Miller and Trisha Thompson; sister, Mary Ellen Ditto; grandchildren, Edward "Noah" Eschenweck, Cody Dalton Lee Tubbs, Haley Rice, Amethyst Reynolds, Kaitlyn Thompson, William Thomas Junior Johnson, III; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Dustin Wade Miller and her brother, James Franklin Haley, Jr.

Private services and burial will be held at the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.

McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
