KAY BREWER

KAY LEEN BREWER, Age 77, of Sikeston, died Sunday, June 21, 2020, at the Clearview Nursing Home in Sikeston.

She was born March 20, 1943, at Rochester, IA, to the late Robert C. Schroeder and Burnadene Kinnan Schroeder.  She had lived in Sikeston since 1980 and retired from Triangle PWC.

On April 3, 1971, she married Kenneth Franklin Brewer who preceded her on June 8, 2003.

Surviving are her daughters, Valerie Kay Johansen and Christine Garlock of Davenport, IA, Shelly Stepp and Jennifer Rena Lewis both of Jackson; her brother, Max Safely of California, MO, her sister, Judy Archer of Tipton, IA; 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by son, Douglas Lynn Johansen; her stepmother who raised her, Marian Schroeder, and her sister, Twilla Gorsuch.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 27, 2020, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston. Dwayne Coleman of Sikeston will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Blodgett Cemetery under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston.

Pallbearers will be Chris Holt, Seth Johnson, Greg Perry, Alexis Lewis, Hunter Lewis, Ronnie Smith, and Jason Childers.
