Kay Frances McGee Cross, age 84, of Sikeston, died Monday, December 18, 2023, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born September 13, 1939, in Vernon, AL, to the late Willie McGee and Leola Dykes McGee. She lived in Mississippi several years where she was a member of the First Baptist Church of West Point, MS.  She then moved to the Sikeston area where she would remain the rest of her life.

On February 6, 1968, at Union City, TN, she married Rupert Douglas Cross, who preceded her in death August 25, 1988.

Survivors include her children, Kenneth Ray (Staci) Counts, Rupert Douglas Cross, Jr., Kay Frances Cross, Audrey Lynn Cross and Rebecca Darlene Cross; ten grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren; her brother, Ray McGee; her sister, Annette Merrick; and a number other relatives.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Lynn McGee Wright, her brother, Eugene Wright and her sisters, Mary McGee Johnson and Flora McGee Worth.

Family and friends may assemble at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 22, 2023, at the Dogwood Cemetery for graveside services.  Rev. Sam Duer will officiate.

Interment will follow under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Sikeston.
