Kay Darlene Jackson, 80, a life-long resident of the Sikeston area, died Monday Aug. 8, 2016 at Missouri Delta Medical Center. She was born May 26, 1936 in Cape Girardeau to the late Charles Eugene and Anita Lucille (Noland) Miller. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and retired after 35 years service as an insurance agent for Scott-Huff, 1st National Bank, Montgomery Bank and Self Insurance Agencies. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lemial John "Jack" Jackson on April 22, 2007. Survivors include 1 son and daughter-in-law, Lawrence "Larry" and Pat Jackson of Argyle, Texas and 1 daughter and son-in-law, Darla and Darryl Roberts of Sikeston; 7 grandchildren: Michael, Stephanie and Lauren Jackson of Argyle; and Jesse (Shelby), Dylan, Amanda and D.J. Roberts of Sikeston; and 2 great-grandsons, Owynn Roberts and Bennett Roberts (who shared a special hand shake with his Grandma). Visitation will be from 5 until 8 pm Wednesday at Blanchard Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Thursday with Rev. David Ross, pastor of First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield. Pallbearers will be Gerald McConnell, Jim Barnes, Jerry Tomlinson, Don Swilley, Mike Parker and Steve Huffstutler.
