Obituary

KEITH ANDERSON ADAMS, age 47, died Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at his residence in Charleston.

He was born June 22, 1963 in Hayti to Joyce Fisher Hartwick who survives of Bertrand and Ira Adams of Missouri. He was raised from birth by his grandparents, Lillian Godsey who survives of Charleston and the late John Godsey. He had lived in Charleston since 1966, was a graduate of Charleston High School, and had attended Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau. He was Communication Director with the Charleston Department of Public Safety for seven years, and had been employed with the Miner Department of Public Safety since 2000.

On May 18, 1985 he married Robin Burke who survives of East Prairie. On August 14, 1993 he married Sheila K. Pigg who survives of the home.

Surviving are six children, Danielle Adams, Louis "Butterbean" Achter III, and Danielle "Sweetpea" Achter all of the home, William Adams and Pamela Foster both of Charleston, and Walter Foster Jr. of Sikeston, Pamela Foster and; three sisters, Rhonda Mathis of East Prairie, Charmin Maness of Charleston and Kimberly Dean of Republic; two brothers, John D. Fisher of Lexington, TN and Jeff Fisher of Dexter; four grandchildren, Sumner Foster, Ji'Mara Jones, and Howard Jones Jr., all of Charleston, and Leighton Foster of Sikeston;; great uncle and great aunt, Wayne and Barbara Marsac of Hot Springs, AR; and many extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by one aunt, Juanita Perry, and his great grandparents, Eric and Thelma Marsac.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 20, 2010, at the First Baptist Church in Charleston until the Funeral Hour at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Gerald Penn, pastor of the First Assembly of God Church, will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be representatives from Southeast Missouri Law Enforcement.

Honorary pallbearers will be William Adams, John D. Fisher, Timmy New, Brian Woods, Shaun Woods, , Lance Tubbs, Sonny Riley, Gary Smith , Walter Foster Jr., Randy Worthy, and Jeff Hughes
