Kenneth Ray Belt, age 80, of Sikeston, died Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

Born July 19, 1944, at Chaffee, MO, to the late Aaron Evrin Belt and Osa Elizabeth Thompson Belt, he had lived in Scott County his entire life and for a number of years operated Belt Construction until his retirement.  He was an avid Bingo player and loved a trip to the casino.

On December 11, 1964, he married Ritta Sue Morrow, who preceded him in death July 23, 2022.

Surviving are his children, Robert "Tony" Belt and wife Lisa; April Belt Cain and husband, Tim and Aaron Belt and wife Elisha; 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Louie Alfred Belt, Sr. and his sisters, Helen Finley and Maxine Bailey.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 2, 2024, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.  Jim Simmons will officiate.

Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery near Charleston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Landon Belt, Christopher Belt, Joshua Stanley, Matthew Marks, Caleb Marks and Shawn Marks.
