Kenneth Jason Hunsperger, age 53, of Charleston, MO, died Thursday, July 30, 2026, at Mercy Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO.

Born June 12, 1973, to Connie Maxine Hunsperger Farrell, he had attended Charleston Schools and lived in Charleston most of his life. He was employed as a welder with Heartland Cookers at Sikeston

Surviving is his wife, Shar’ron Simpson Hunsperger; his daughters, Jaidyn Maxine (Dominick) Mijares and Erica L. (Brady) Peters; his grandchildren, Aurora Peters and Theodore James Mijares; his sister, Christa Farrell (David); stepsister, Tonya True; his aunts, Kathie Moore and Diane Farrell (Larry) Harland; nephews, Tyler Hunsperger, Seth Hunsperger, Nicholas Williams, his mother in law, Ruth A. Jones Simpson, his lifelong best friend, Thomas Smith, and a number of cousins.

In addition to his mother; he was preceded in death by the man who raised him and whom he called dad, Kenneth Wayne Farrell; his daughter, Brylea Anne Hunsperger; his brother, David Wayne Hunsperger; his grandparents, Curtis Lincoln Hunsperger and Mabel Germaine Givens Hunsperger and Cleveland E. Farrell and Theda Welch Farrell; his uncles, Randall Hunsperger and Ronnie Hunsperger; his aunt, Jean McGinnis, his nephew, Smoke Wayne Woods, his aunt, Cathy Farrell Alsup, his father-in-law, James C. Simpson, Jr., and other relatives.

Visitation will be from 5:30 p.m. until the funeral hour at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Kenneth Gibson of Wyatt will officiate.

Cremation will follow with a private interment at a later date.
