Kenneth Lee Roberts, 53, died Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. He was born January 6, 1965 in Chaffee to the late Cecil Clayborn and Velma Lorene (Dunn) Roberts. A life-long resident of Sikeston, he was a Baptist, member of the National Rifle Association, United Steelworkers Union and of the National Association of Letter Carriers. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy serving aboard the USS McKee while in the service from 1983 -1989. He had been a Pot Lineman at Noranda Aluminum until it closed and for the past two years a city carrier with the U.S. Postal Service. On Dec. 23, 1983 he was married to Teresa Diane Ramsey at Advance and she survives of the home. Also surviving are 1 son and daughter-in-law, Gary & Shannon Roberts of St. Charles; 1 daughter and son-in-law, Bethany and Patrick Boos of Sikeston; 4 brothers, Richard Roberts of Jackson, and Thomas Duane Harris, Gary Dunn and Kevin Roberts all of Sikeston; and 3 sisters, Donna (Wayne) Turpin of Bertrand, Shirley (Jerry) Davis of Kimberling City, MO and Earlene (Steve) Gill of St. Louis. Also surviving are 4 granddogs whom he cherished dearly. Two brothers preceded him in death. Visitation will be at Blanchard Funeral Chapel from 5 until 8 pm Wednesday. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:00 pm at Blanchard Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jason Davis, Pastor of Anchor Church officiating. Burial will follow at 3:00 pm at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield with full military honors. Pallbearers will be: Levi Harris, Patrick Boos, Zach Harris, Dustin Ramsey, John McGilivray and Bud Adams. Honorary pallbearer will be Gary Roberts.
