James Kenneth "Kenny" Little, 75, died Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. He was born October 19, 1940 in Sikeston to the late Cecil and Marie (Holden) Little. A life-long resident of this area,, he was a retired general building contractor and truck driver for Fleming Trucking; he had attended Smith Avenue Church of God and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was first married to Ruth Conley in 1960 in Dexter and she preceded him in death November 22, 2009. On June 25, 2010 he married Helen B. (Hartle) May in Sikeston and she survives of the home in Sikeston. Also surviving are two sons, Kenneth Ray & Denise Little and Lanny Wayne Little and special friend Melinda Dixon all of Sikeston; one daughter and son-in-law, Mandy and Chris Shelby also of Sikeston; three step-daughters, Lisa (Matt) Phillips of Dexter, Gina (Kenneth) Crutchfield of St. Louis and Leslie (Ronnie) Bryant of Richmond, Virginia. Two brothers Eddie Little of Sikeston and Jerry (Terry) Little of St. Louis also survive as well as 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 1 sister. Visitation will be at Smith Avenue Church of God, Thursday, July 28 from 1:00 pm until time for memorial service at 2:00 pm. Rev. Ira Sandefer, the pastor will officiate.
