KEVIN WAYNE BROWN, SR., Age 61, formerly of Wyatt, died Sunday, August 9, 2015, at his home in Wappapello.

Born January 27, 1954, at Wyatt, Mo. , to the late Wallace and Vera Jeff Houston Brown, he had lived in Wyatt growning up and was a 1972 graduate of Charleston High School. He then lived in Benton, MO a number of years where he was a member of the Unity Baptist Church prior to moving to Wappapello in 2002. He had been employed in construction and then the Brown Shoe Company and later Gates Rubber Company until his retirement.

On August 16, 1973, he married Diane Williams, who survives of the home.

Also surviving are one daughter, Tonya Diane (David) Green of Jackson, MO; two sons, Kevin Wayne (Spencer Murphy) Brown, Jr. of Palmer, AK and Jeremy Craig Brown of Scott City; four brothers, Harold Brown of Wappapello; Larry Brown of Charleston; Justin Brown and Mark Brown both of East Prairie; one sister, Wanda Cogdill of East Prairie. Also, a number of nieces and nephews survive.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, June Leffler, Betty Carrington and Connie Riley.

There is no visitation.

Family and friends may assemble at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 11, 2015, at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery near Charleston for a Graveside Service. Kerry Stokes of Charleston will officiate.

Interment will follow under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home.
