Kevin Scott Chambers, age 64, formerly a resident of Charleston, MO and Atoka, TN, passed away peacefully, after a courageous battle with cancer, in his home on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 in Hahira, GA.

Kevin was born December 26, 1957, in Sikeston, MO, to the parents of Billy Lee and Bobbye Scott Chambers. A 1976 graduate of Charleston High School, Kevin attended Murray State University then went on to receive his Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture Business from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau.

Following his college graduation, he began a 38-year career in agriculture with his first position as a loan officer with Production Credit Association. In January 2022, he retired as the Director of Credit from GreenPoint Ag.

Kevin loved playing golf, boating, cars, and watching football.  He was a member of Gateway Baptist Church, in Atoka, TN.

In 1983, he met Susan Ellis. They wed in 1984, and were blessed with two children, Ellis and Sydney.

In addition to his wife, Susan; his son, Ellis Chambers of Olive Branch, MS; his daughter, Sydney (Trey) Davis of Birmingham, AL he is survived by his mother, Bobbye Scott Chambers of Charleston; one sister, Tracy (Kevin) Willoughby of Valdosta, GA; and also several nieces and nephews.

His father, Billy Lee Chambers, and his brother, Rodney Chambers, preceded him in death.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the Memorial Service at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Rev. Steve Carpenter, pastor of the Gateway Baptist Church in Atoka, TN, will officiate. Eulogists will be his nephew. Bleve Willoughby, and his son in law, Trey Davis.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be given to: American Cancer Association, 3140 Parisa Drive, Paducah, KY 42003.
