Lacey Hanks

Loren Lacey Hanks, age 53, died Thursday, August 15, 2024, at his home in Miner, MO.

Born September 7, 1970, in Marion, Illinois, to the late Gilbert Loren Hanks and Edith May Franklin Hanks, he had lived in Southern Illinois his entire life until moving to Southeast Missouri several years ago.    He had been employed with Orgill the last several years.

Lacey loved attending rodeos and enjoyed camping and horseback riding, especially on the Nine Day Trail ride in Golconda, Illinois.

Surviving are his sisters; Deborah Kelton of Marion, Illinois, Rebecca Goins of Christopher, Illinois, Nancy (Terry) Rawson of Murphysboro, Illinois, Mary Melissa Hanks of Jonesboro, Illinois, his brothers; Mickey (Carletta) Hanks of Marion, Illinois, Keith (Jeanie) Hanks of Buncombe, Illinois, Gilbert Loren Jr. (Cynthia) Hanks of Crab Orchard, Illinois and Tracy (Paula) Hanks of Marion Illinois, a special uncle Ruel Hanks of Pittsburg, IL, a special Godson, Dale Hanks, a special cousin, Billy Treat and a lots of cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth Hearn, his nephew, Wayne West and niece, Susan Goins.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

McMikle Funeral Home of Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
