Larry Joe Bone, Sr., age 69, died Friday, November 18, 2022, at his home in East Prairie.

He was born July 15, 1953, at Wyatt, MO, to the late Emmett Bone and Lucy Mae Scott Bone.  Larry grew up in the Wyatt area and joined the U.S. Navy serving in Vietnam.  Following his discharge, he settled in California and then later moved to Michigan before returning to Mississippi County several years ago.   He had been employed as a truck driver and in construction.    Larry loved the river and considered it his "happy place", just to sit, relax and drink his beer.

Surviving are his children, Kimberly Bane, Tiffany Bone, Larry Joe Bone, Jr. and Timothy Bone; his grandchildren, Tyler, Carl, Jonaye, Cassandra, Caiden and Timmy; two great grandchildren, Carson and Emma.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, James Bone, Jerry W. Bone, Paul Bone and Edward Bone.

Family and friends may assemble at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at the IOOF Cemetery near Charleston for military graveside honors.

Interment will follow under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston.
