Larry Freeman Fetters, 68, died Sunday Jan. 21, 2018 at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. He was born in Sikeston, March 9, 1949 to the late Freeman "Pete" and Winona (Holden) Fetters. A life-long resident of this area, he had been a member of the Sikeston Elks Lodge and American Legion; and had been a self-employed painter and drywaller in the construction business. He was married March 8, 1968 to Barbara Roach in New Madrid County and she survives of the home. Also surviving are 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Tracy & Mike Weiny and Misty & Matt Matthews all of Sikeston; 1 brother, David & Jill Fetters of Sikeston; 2 sisters, Mary & Larry Roach and Anita Brown all of Sikeston; 5 grandchildren, Rusty Burks, Ronnie Pyland, Bradley Burks, Andrea Burks and Taylor Pyland an 1 special great grandson, Rhett Pyland all of Sikeston. One sister, Martha McCoy preceded him in death. Visitation will be Wednesday, Jan. 24, at Blanchard Funeral Chapel from 11:00 AM until time for services at 1:00 PM. Rev. Randy Eskew, pastor of New Beginnings Church at East Prairie will officiate and burial will follow at Dogwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rusty Burks, Ronnie Pyland, Bradley Burks, Mark Fetters, Chad Fetters and Tom Coleman; honorary pallbearers will be Mark Pratt, Nicholas Pratt and Cody Pratt.
