Larry Dale Lutes, II, 45, of Sikeston, died Sunday, August 8, 2021, at Woodland Hills Care Center in Marble Hill.
He was born May 8, 1976, in Dexter, MO to Larry Dale Lutes I and Pauline Graham Brock. Larry grew up in Sikeston and later moved to Morehouse. He was a true cowboy; he loved to rope and rodeo. Larry loved horses and would even break them. He was a member of the AQA (American Quarter Horse Association).
In 2009, he met the love of his life, Selma Summers, who survives of the home. Larry and Selma were wed July 28, 2016.
Also surviving are his daughters, Mayme Elizabeth Ward of Sikeston, MO and Sabrina Summers Morris of Cape Girardeau, MO; two sisters, Bobbie Carpenter of Sikeston, MO and Lisa Kosier of Springfield, MO; stepfather, James Brock; one grandson, Theo Martin of Cape Girardeau; five nieces, two nephews and two great nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Ricky Lutes and his stepfather, Jim Ward.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston where funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, August 12, 2021. Thurman Graham II and Tommy Graham will officiate.
Interment will follow in Garden of Memories of Sikeston, MO under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Sikeston.
Pallbearers will be: James Renolds, Jimmy Renolds, Brad Tidwell, Brian Bradshaw, Tommy Graham and Danny Graham. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenny Graham and Carl Graham.
