Larry Jean Patrick, Sr., age 74, died Friday, October 24, 2025, at his home in rural Bertrand, MO.

Born October 18, 1951, at Dorena, MO, to the late Robert H. Patrick and Dorothy Staggs Patrick, he had lived in Mississippi County his entire life.  He began working at a young age at Big Oak Farms near Dorena in rural Mississippi County and then went on to become a skilled mechanic working on farm machinery.

On October 27, 1972, he married Mary Kathryn Loflin, and she survives of the home.

Also surviving is his son, Larry Jean Patrick, Jr. of Bertrand; his siblings, Richard (Karen) Patrick and Glenda Hedges of East Prairie; Pauline (Jim) Harris of Colt, AR; Joyce (Mike) Boyer of Viburnum, MO; Ellen Patrick of Colt, AR; Sheila (Allen) Cobb of Bernie, MO; Regina (Richard) Dowdy of Dexter, MO, Judy Keyes of Leesville, LA and Kathy Bell of Cape Girardeau, MO; his sisters in law, Dorothy Patrick of Charleston, Donna Patrick, Brenda Patrick and Kathy Allred, all of East Prairie, MO; also, a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his brothers, Raymond Patrick, Robert (Bob) Patrick, Jessee Patrick, Phillip (Bobo) Patrick and his sister, Phyllis Bennett.

A celebration in honor of Larry's life will be held at a later date at the Big Oak State Park in rural Mississippi County, Mo.
