LAURA 'KATHY' McKINNEY HEIL, Age 43, a resident of Charleston, died Monday, February 14, 2011 at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born February 28, 1967 at Charleston, MO to the late Emory and Neoma Beth Gay McKinney, she had lived in Charleston her entire life and was a 1985 Graduate of Charleston High School. A member of the First Baptist Church in Charleston, she was employed as manager at the ALCO Department Store.
On July 11, 1997, she married Benjamin K. Heil who survives of the home.
Also surviving are: one daughter, Laura Elizabeth Heil of the home; three stepsons, Louis Heil and Brian Heil of California, Mikeal Heil of Louisiana; two brothers, Bruce McKinney of Sikeston and Dennis McKinney of Dallas, TX; three stepgranddaughters; one step great grandson.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby McKinney and Larry Joe McKinney.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston where funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 17, 2011. Rev. Dan Faust, pastor of the United Methodist Church of Charleston, will officiate.
Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery near Charleston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home.
