LAUREN RAE GRIGGS, Age 28, died Monday, May 30, 2016, at her home in Charleston.
Born March 27, 1988, at Sikeston, MO to Steven Arnold Griggs and Brenda Eliane Ritchey Griggs, who survive of Charleston, she had lived in Charleston her entire life and was of Baptist Faith professing her life in Christ early in life. She was a gifted singer that loved to perform starting at an early age. Lauren loved life and most of all her daughter, A'mia.
Surviving besides her parents are her daughter, A'mia Shiann Griggs of Charleston; two sisters, Sara Holmes of Charleston and Caitlyn Rohrer of Mountain View, MO; her paternal grandparents, Sam and Annabelle Nelson Griggs of Charleston; maternal grandparents, Robert and Shirley Patterson Ritchey of Charleston; her fiancé, Darrell Wilkerson of Bertrand; many aunts, uncles, cousins and many many friends.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 4, 2016, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Rodney Dunlap, pastor of the Abundant Life in Christ Missionary Baptist Church of Charleston, will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Smith-Griggs Cemetery near Wyatt under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be: Tony Branam, Jason Sams, Jeremy Brown, Lee Michael Griggs, Nelson McMikle and Scott Brink.
