Laurie Ann Anderson Brown

Laurie Ann Anderson Brown, 62, of Smyrna, TN, formerly of Sikeston, MO passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Stone Crest Hospital in Smyrna, TN.

Born November 11, 1962, in Dexter, MO, Laurie was the cherished daughter of Shirley Brown Miller and Dewayne Miller.  A devoted Christian, she was a member of Stones River Baptist Church in Smyrna, TN where she participated in the Prayer Shawl ministry.  She graduated from Southeast MO State University and dedicated her life to family, faith, and creative passion.

On June 4, 2005, in Smyrna, TN she married Frederick (Freddie) Brown, who lovingly survives her.  She is also survived by her parents, Shirley and Dewayne Miller; her daughter, Ashley Nicole Thompson; her grandson Noah Thompson, who were the light of her life; and her two beloved dogs, Angel and Zeke.

Laurie was preceded in death by her brother Richard Allen Anderson and grandmother, Daisy Brown.

Her faith in the Lord was the foundation of her life.  She lived with grace, compassion, and a servant's heart, leaving a legacy of love and creativity for her family and all who knew her.

Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the funeral hour at 11:30 am., Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston.  Rev. Steve Francis, pastor of Miner Baptist Church, will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories at Sikeston under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston.
