Obituary
LAWANDA L. FOWLER, age 89, a resident of East Prairie died Wednesday, September 25, 2013, at the East Prairie Nursing Center.
She was born September 12, 1924 in East Prairie to the late Frederick Lee and Mamie Riley Weeks. She had lived in East Prairie most of her life where she had been employed with the East Prairie Eagle, attended the First Christian Church and enjoyed participating in activities of the R.S.V.P. program.
On January 22, 1944 she married Robert A. Fowler who preceded her in death on August 28, 1980.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Fowler of Des Moines, IA and James Lee Fowler of East Prairie; one daughter, Ravonna Lynn Robbins of Mt. Morris, MI; and 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by eight brothers and four sisters.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 1, 2013, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston until the funeral hour at 11:00 a.m.
Interment will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home.
