L.D. STIDHAM, age 61, died Thursday, November 22, 2012, at his residence in Bertrand.
He was born March 15, 1951 in Marion County, AL to the late Courtry and Annie Mae Purser Stidham. He had lived in Bertrand most of his life where he worked for James Ezzell for 32 years. He served with the National Guard for six years, had been a member of the Wolf Island Hunt Club and the NRA. He attended the First Assembly of God Church in Sikeston.
On December 29 1972 he married Molly Bowles who survives of the home.
Also surviving are two daughters and sons in law, Ashleigh and Page Humphrey of Troy, and Amy and Scott Dugan of Bertand; five grandchildren, Kaleigh and Craven Humphrey of Troy, and Connor, Gavin, and Abigail Dugan of Bertrand; his Godchildren, Hillarie and Nathaniel Crowley of Sikeston; four brothers, Jim Stidham of Wynne, AR Lucion Stidham of Rockford, IL, L.C. Stidham of Arlington, VA, and Eugene Stidham of Hackleburg, AL; five sisters, Jennette Wiginton of Hackleburg, AL, Dorothy Frye of Okeechobee, FL, Willodean Brashear of Sikeston, Anna Lee Bridwell of Benton, and Polly Cochran of Hackleburg, AL; also his special friends, Helen Ezzell of Bertrand and the late James Ezzell.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Larry Stidham, Johnny Bill Stidham, Baby boy Stidham; and one sister, Evelyn McLemore.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 27, 2012, at the McMikle Funeral Home at 5:00 p.m. until the Memorial Service scheduled at 7:00 p.m. Rev. Dwayne Maynard, pastor of the Assembly of God Church in Sikeston, will officiate.
Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Stidham, Ray Stidham, Mark Stidham, Randy Stidham, David Cochran, Billy Cochran, Eric Cochran, and Rev. Danny Tackett.
