Obituary

LEE EDWARD FINLEY, Age 49, a resident of Paducah, KY, died Thursday, February 19, 2015, at the Lourdes Hospital in Paducah.

Born January 25, 1966, at Santa Ana, CA, to James Edward Finley who survives of Portageville, MO, and Nancy Carol Aldridge Ames, who survives of Charleston, MO, he grew up in Wyatt, MO and was a 1984 graduate of Charleston High School. Following high school, he obtained his Tanker Man License and River Boat Pilot License and in 1985 went to work on the river. He had lived in Bertrand, MO a number of years and in 2001 moved to Paducah and was currently employed with National Maintenance and Repair of Kentucky.

On June 17, 1989, he married Dana Rae Parr, who survives of the home.

Surviving in addition to his wife, father and mother are one son and his fiancé, Lee Edward Parr Finley and Ashley Lang of Paducah, KY; two daughters and one son in law, Bethany Danielle Finley Lichliter and her husband Zach Lichliter of Paducah and Shelby Paige Finley of Paducah; one brother, Timothy James (Carrie) Finley of Pleasanton, CA; one sister, Lisa Finley (Preston Wayne) Norton of Charleston; one half sister, Mary Kathryn (Kyle) Lootens of Jefferson City, MO; his step mother, LaJeanna Finley of Portageville, MO; four nephews and six nieces.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Tom and Ruby Finley and his maternal grandparents, Eugene and Joyce Aldridge.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, February 23, 2015, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston where funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 24, 2015. Billy Garner and Rodney Dover, will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Lee Edward Parr Finley, Zach Lichliter, Tim Finley, Brad Cannon, Todd Brown and Cody Witt.

Honorary Pallbearer will be Louis Armstrong.

Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home.
