Obituary

BILLY LEO BLACKMAN JR., age 76, a resident of Sikeston died Friday, April 29, 2022 at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

He was born December 27, 1945 in Sikeston to Billy Leo and Jean Stauffer Blackman.  A graduate of Charleston High School he was employed in sales for many years. He was a member of the Missouri National Guard Reserves during the Vietnam era and was quite an art and history buff.  He grew up enjoying water sports at Lake Wappapello and became an avid bass fisherman. He was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are three children, Amy (Brian) Law and Julie (Vincent) Pappalardo all of Birmingham, AL, and Evan C. Blackman of Sikeston; one brother, Roger (Pam) Blackman of Venice, FL and one sister, Donna Sneathern of Sikeston; six grandchildren, Lauren Law Robinson, Whitney Law DurrWachter, Luke Pappalardo, Claire Pappalardo, Claudia Blackman and Genevieve Blackman; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Jean Blackman and his brother-in-law, Ken Sneathern.

Family and Friends will assemble for Graveside Services in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3, 2022.  His son in law, Rev. Brian Law, pastor of the Eastside Baptist Church in Birmingham, AL will officiate.

Interment will follow with services under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston.
