LEROY WALKER

Alferd Leroy Walker, age 90, of Bertrand, died Saturday, August 22, 2020, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born June 3, 1930, near East Prairie, MO, to the late William Eugene Walker and Blanche Oliphant Walker, he had lived in Bertrand area most of his life and had been a heavy equipment operator a number of years. He attended the Bridges United Methodist Church in the Bridges Community of rural Mississippi County until its closing at which time he started attending the Southside Baptist Church in Charleston.   He was a long-time member of the Charleston Masonic Lodge No. 407 AF & AM.

On July 26, 1948, he married Winona Evonne McAdoo, who preceded him in death on August 29, 1995. He later married Regina Waldron, who also preceded him in death.

Surviving are his children, Rocky Bruce (Linda) Walker of Charleston; Donna Rae Eaker of Bertrand; Robin Ann (Doug) Farrell of Rhineland and Patty Jo (Marion) Orr of Grayridge; grandchildren, Rocky Walker, II, Justin Daubert and Christie Walker Mueller; great grandchildren, Rocky Walker, III, Natalie Miller, Brianna Mueller, Makayla Mueller and Maegan Walker; great great grandson, Rocky Walker IV and a great great grandbaby on the way; his sisters, Judy Blaylock and Barbara Haubold, also survive; as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

Also preceded him in death are his brothers, Wilbur Walker, Glen Walker and Kenneth Walker and his sisters, Betty Jean Walker and Shirley Joan Walker.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 25, 2020, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, Mike McKinney, pastor of the Southside Baptist Church of Charleston, will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Armer Cemetery near Bertrand, MO, under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be: Rocky Walker II, Trey Walker, Justin Daubert, Kirk Mueller, Doug Farrell, and Marion Orr.
