Leslie Ann Leonard Wethington, age 48, a resident of Sikeston, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at Evelyn's Hospice House in St. Louis after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born March 23, 1975, at Dexter, MO, to Cynthia "Cindy" Dock Leonard who survives of Sikeston, and the late Ted Leonard.  She had lived in Sikeston her entire life where she had been employed with Sikeston Public Schools.  She later became a homemaker and was a very proud and determined champion for Autism and Autism Awareness.   Leslie was a member of the Heartland Harvest Church near Sikeston.

On March 15, 1999, she married Travis James Hasty, who survives of the home.

In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by her daughter, Mallory Brooke Wethington of Sikeston; her son, Ricky Austin Hasty of the home; her grandson, Maverick James Newell of Sikeston; her sister, Amanda Leonard (Anthony) Hampton of Sikeston; also, a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Kelly Lynn Wethington; and her brother, David Allen Leonard.

Visitation will be from noon until the funeral hour at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 14, 2023, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston.  Pastor Todd Crumley will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Sikeston.

Pallbearers will be: Kayden Leonard, David Leonard, Jr., Anthony Hampton, Travis Bentson, David Hasty, David Torbert and Damian Atkeson.
