Leta Lawrence Wise

Leta M. Lawrence Wise, age 92, died Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at her home in Sikeston.

She was born October 5, 1931, at Appleton, AR, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Lester Lawrence and had lived in Sikeston a number years.

On November 13, 1948, she married Lindsey Wise who preceded her in death on November 12, 2017.

Surviving are her children, Lindsey G. Wise, Jerry L. Wise and Pamela Wise Dyer; her grandchildren, Rob (Cynthia) Wise, Craig (Kelly) Wise, Mindy (Eric) Kimberley, Justin (Abbey) Wise, Aleica (Ralf) Welvers, Crystal Evans, Lindsey (Brad) Walworth and 12 great grandchildren; one sister, Marilyn Shipley.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Inez, Kermit, Carrie, James, Fred, Wanda, Pat, Norman and an infant sister.

Private burial will be at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.

McMikle Funeral Home of Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
