Obituary
Letha Vern Brown, age 82 a resident of Charleston died at 10:00pm on Saturday July 23, 2011 at the Sikeston Convalescent Center.
Born July 9, 1929 in Datto AR to the late George and Christeen White Byford she lived most of her life in Charleston where she was a member of the Charleston Church of Christ.
On June 16, 1952 she married Roy S Brown, who preceded her in death on October 1, 1989.
She is survived by four sons and three daughters in laws Jim and Melissa Brown of Harlan IN, George Brown, Gary and Donna Brown, and Paul and Tammy Brown all of Charleston; one daughter Beverly Wilson of Charleston; 15 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son Roy Wayne Brown, two grandchildren Tammy Catlett and Robbie Wilson, and three brothers, Lewis Byford, James Byford, and Johnny Byford.
Visitation will be from 5-8pm on Tuesday. July 26, 2011, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 27, 2011. Her son, Jim Brown of Harlan, IN, and Bill Bradley of Charleston will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons Gerald Brown, George Brown, Paul Brown Jr., Brian Grigsby, and Mickle Brown, Justin Smith.
