LEVGIA WICKER, age 84, a resident of Bertrand died at 11:45 p.m., Saturday, October 24, 2009, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born on May 5, 1925 in Southeast Missouri to the late Fred and Betty Lou Hanks Reynolds. She had lived in Southeast Missouri most of her life where she was employed with the Brown Shoe Company for several years until retirement. She lived in El Centro, CA for fifteen years where she worked as a CNA until returning to Southeast Missouri in 1974. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother.
On October 10, 1941 she married La Faye Wicker who preceded her in death on August 9, 2001.
Surviving are one son, Paul David Wicker of West Plains; one daughter, Marilyn Williams of Bertrand; one sister, Mary Baugh of Wyatt; 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 6 step great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Doyle Wicker, and one great granddaughter, Jennifer Lynn Williams. Also, two brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.
Friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 27, 2009, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston until the funeral hour at 2:00 p.m. Rev. David Cullen, will officiate.
Interment will follow in the IOOF Cemetery under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home.
