Obituary
LEWIS JON McMIKLE, age 55, a resident St. Petersburg, FL , formerly of Sikeston, passed away peacefully at 2:11 AM on Thursday, January 21, after an 11 year battle with cancer.
Born September 17, 1960 in Sikeston, Lewis Jon was the youngest son of the late Willard John and Charlotte Stanley McCain McMikle. He was a 1978 graduate of Sikeston High School, was self-employed as a closer and seller of real estate, and a member of the Sikeston Elks Lodge.
Lewis Jon is survived by his two sons, Joseph Edward, 25, of St. Petersburg, Florida and Adam Jon, 22 of Rolla, Missouri. He is also survived by three sisters and one brother, Bonnie McMikle Hagler of Sikeston, Charlotte Willena McMikle Dugas of Daphne, Alabama, Willard Stanley McMikle of Albany, Georgia, and Christy Lee McMikle Priday of Sikeston.
Lewis Jon was loved by all who got the chance to meet him. You never knew what you were going to get in a conversation. There are plenty of stories to tell of what an amazing life this man lived for his friends, family, but first and foremost, for his boys. He was such a compassionate father and a true champion for love.
Lewis Jon's life will be celebrated in a private family gathering at a later date.
