LINDA JEAN HAMPTON, age 67, a resident of Sikeston, died Wednesday, April 15, 2020, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.Born September 12, 1952, at Spring Valley, IL, to the late Hubert Lucas and Mary Metcalf Lucas, she had lived in Sikeston a number of years.

In 1968, she married Charles John Hampton, who preceded her in death in 2008.

Surviving are her daughters, Mary Louise Hampton and Kimberli (Tim) Wiley both of Sikeston and Jamie Lynn (Jim) McWhirter of Kevil, KY; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren; brothers, Kenny Lucas of Wisconsin and Brett Fording of Indiana; her special family of in laws, Ricky and Janet Hampton, Mikey and Tammy Hampton, Lois Hampton, Sharon and Harvey Bailey, Joyce and Doug Neughlfen, Barb Grubbs and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Owen Lucas and Hubert Lucas, Jr., and her in laws, Vickie Hampton, Earl Grubbs and Ronnie Hampton.

Private services will be held with burial at the Blodgett Cemetery.
