Linda K. Leker, age 71, died Sunday, December 7, 2014, at her residence in LaForge.
She was born April 1, 1943 in Anniston to the late William Arthur "Bo" and Oma Selina Fussel Robison. She had lived in southeast Missouri her entire life where she was employed with Brown Shoe Company in Charleston until it closed then was employed at B.J.'s Travel Center in New Madrid as a cook.
On February 1, 1964 she married Kenneth Earl Leker who preceded her in death on April 18, 1989.
Surviving are two sons, Kenneth Ray Leker of Mandeville, LA and Chris Crosby of New Madrid; one daughter, Tammy (Dean) Mellstrom of Cape Girardeau; one sister, Glenda Deprow of Tallapoosa; two granddaughters, Sara Michelle Williams of Cape Girardeau and Tara Rene May of Cape Girardeau; four great grandchildren, Elijah Moffett, Gracie Moffett, Matthew May and Noah May all of Cape Girardeau; and her life partner of 25 years, Leon Crosby of LaForge.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, James Arthur Robison and Bob Ray Robison; and seven sisters, Helen Urhahn, Elsie Helmes, Billie Hayden, Carol Ann Prince, Pat Crabb, Betty Ligons, Margie VanPool.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston from 1:00 p.m. until funeral hour at 2:00 p.m. Randy Deprow of Tallapoosa will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Chris Crosby, Clinton Helems, Bob Robison, Chris Sullivan, Dean Mellstrom, and Jeremy Aden.
Interment will follow in the IOOF Cemetery under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home.
