LINDA KAY MARTINEZ SMITH, AGE 69, of Morehouse, died Monday, April 24, 2023, at Mercy South Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Born September 23, 1953, at Wyatt, MO, to the late William Inman and Helen Freeland Inman, she had lived in Sikeston most of her life but had lived in Morehouse the past 20 years. Linda was a hard worker all of her life. For a number of years, she was employed as the office manager for the Food Giant Corporation and also worked as an L.P.N. at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston and various other medical places in the surrounding area.

She was first married to Rudy Jimmy Martinez, Sr., who preceded her in death.

On May 13, 2006, she married Tony Smith, who survives of the home.

Also surviving are her sons, Tommy (Jackie) Martinez; Rudy (Melody Smith) Martinez, Jr., Mark Martinez and Chad Price all of Sikeston and Brad Smith of Benton; her brother, Paul Freeland of East Prairie; a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as nieces, nephews and cousins survive.

In addition to her first husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Scotty Martinez and Brian Stephen Smith; and two brothers, Eddie Freeland and Harold Winkler.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 29, 2023, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston.

Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery at Charleston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Sikeston.
