Obituary
LOEL N. HARVELL, age 84, a resident of Charleston died at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at the Charleston Manor.
She was born April 28, 1925 in Randolf County, AR to the late Lulon and Thelma Samons Wright. She had lived in Charleston most of her life where she had been a faithful member of the First Baptist Church for over 50 years. She had worked in the stitching department at the Brown Shoe Company for several years and was a lifetime member of the Ladies VFW Auxiliary where she had served in various positions of leadership.
On April 7, 1951 she married George Tone Harvell who preceded her in death on October 17, 1987.
Surviving are one son and daughter in law, Ronald L. "Ron" and Kim Harvell of Eureka Springs, AR; one granddaughter, Ashley Harvell of Eureka Springs, AR; one sister in law, Velma Ruth Harvell of Charleston; two step grandsons, and four step great grandchildren.
Friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 24, 2009 at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston until the funeral hour at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Gerald Collier of Ironton will officiate.
Interment will follow in the IOOF Cemetery under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Tim Harvell, Smith DeLine, Richard Logan, Danny Babb, Ray Presson, and Roy Presson.
