Lorraine Grimes, 84, formerly of Sikeston, died Thursday, Jan. 11, 2018 at Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau.  She was born December 22, 1933 in West Ridge, Arkansas to the late Joseph Albert and Sarah Clementine (DeGroat) Lewis.  A resident of this area most of her life, she worked in the administrative office at Malone & Hyde.  She held dual memberships with Eagles Ladies Auxillaries #3319 in Sikeston and #3775 in Cape Girardeau having worn every hat #3319 had to offer;  she became State President in 1986 and was then elected to the Grand Auxillary in 1989.  She served as Chaplain, Secretary, Trustee, Vice President and President.  You name it, she's done it.  Lorraine is the only woman from Missouri to have served as Grand Madam President.  She was also a former Cotton Boll Council Girl Scout Leader.  She was married to Donnie G. Ford in January, 1952 in Morehouse and he preceded her in death June 19, 1953.  In August, 1955 she was married to Herman Grimes in Sikeston and he died March, 1999.  She is survived by 2 sons and daughters-in-law:  Herman, Jr. and Gaye Grimes of Olive Branch, Mississippi and Mark and Sabrina Grimes of Sikeston;  3 daughters and 1 son-in-law:  Markey Ford of Little Rock, Arkansas, Cindy McClellan of Euharlee, Georgia and Sarah and Cliff Thompson of Grand Junction, Colorado..  Nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren also survive.  She was preceded in death by 1 son, Donnie Ford, Jr., 1 granddaughter, Christy Ford and 5 brothers and 1 sister.  A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018 at Fraternal Order of Eagles, 321 N. Spring, Cape Girardeau, MO. and a reception will follow.  Memorial contributions may be made in her honor to F.O.E. Charity Foundation, 321 N.
