Lou Nell Curtner, 74, a life-long resident of his area, died Sunday Aug 14 at her son's home in Sikeston. She was born Feb. 16, 1942 in Morehouse to the late Charles Franklin and Eunice (Gregory) Sturgeon. She had been a foster parent for many years and had attended the Assembly of God Church. On Sept. 19, 1964 she married Larry Earl Curtner in Sikeston and he preceded her in death April 4, 2016. She is survived by one son Greg Curtner of Sikeston and 2 grandsons, Max & C.J. Curtner of Sikeston; 2 sisters Alma Creed of Phoenix, Az. and Betsy Fields of Sikeston and several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Visitation will be at Blanchard Funeral Chapel Thursday, Aug. 18 from 11:00 am until time for services at 1:00 pm. Rev. Terry Curtner from Walnut Hill, Illinois will officiate and burial will follow at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery a Bloomfield. Pallbearers will be Greg Curtner, Max Curtner, C.J.
