Marion Louise Mainord, 88, died Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born February 14, 1929 in Jerusalem, Arkansas to the late William Oscar and Lydia Adeline (Venus) Eddy. She had lived in Matthews until moving to Sikeston a year and half ago. She had been a secretary at Security Abstract in New Madrid and later at Scott-Huff Insurance Co. On Jan. 15, 1956 she married William "Oscar" Mainord in Sikeston and he preceded her in death April 17, 2015. She is survived by a nephew who was raised in the home, William Oscar "Sonny" and Mary Eddy of La Forge; and two nieces who were also raised in the home, Mary Ann and Don Lowman of Cabot, Arkansas and Marilyn and Ray Yarbrough of Delano, Tennessee; and 1 sister-in-law Margaret Eddy of Sikeston. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren 10 great-grandchildren, several nephews and 1 niece. Besides her husband and parents she was also preceded in death by 3 brothers. Visitation will be at Blanchard Funeral Chapel from 4 until 8 pm Thursday. The funeral will be at 2:00 pm Friday at Blanchard Funeral Chapel with Patrick Hogan, minister at Shady Acres Church of Christ officiating. James Price, elder of the Church will assist, and burial will follow at Matthews Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Sonny Eddy, William O.
